Visiting hours are provided to the patient upon admission and are subject to change.
Visitors are permitted on Saturday and Sunday only. Visiting hours are:
- 1:00 – 2:00 pm – General and Acute Adult Units
- 2:00 – 3:00 pm – Adult Dual Diagnosis Unit
- 3:00 – 4:00 pm – Child and Adolescent Unit, and Older Adult Unit
A confidential security ID number is issued at the time of each patient’s admission. Due to patient confidentiality, only the patient may give out this number. Visitors will NOT be allowed to visit or drop off belongings without the patient’s ID number.
Visitors arriving 15 minutes after the start time of visitation will NOT be permitted to visit that day.
Visitors CANNOT bring purses, bags, diaper bags, strollers/car seats, wallets, food/drinks, cell phones or any type of electronics, weapons of any sort, car keys, jackets, cigarettes/e-cigs, lighters, contraband or any other items that are deemed harmful to visitation.
Visitors will be asked to secure personal items in provided lockers during their visit. All items to be given to patients must be checked by staff.
Children 17 years old and younger are NOT permitted to visit and cannot be left unattended anywhere on NWTHS property.
Only two visitors will be allowed at the same time. If there are more than two visitors then the visitors can rotate.
On the children/adolescent unit, visitors must be immediate family including parents, guardians, grandparents and siblings 18 years old and older. Visitors must receive prior approval to bring extended family, friends or for special age considerations.
Please coordinate with the charge nurse for any requests for exceptions to this policy.
